So the beer is safely in Thailand, and it’s tasting great! Our friends from Black Ivory Coffee brought it on a little journey to Northern Thailand, where they shared it with the coffee farmers who grown the Arabica beans used, as well as the elephants used in the process (unfortunately they didn’t get to try it!).

You’re at a music festival, Your favourite band is on stage, the crowd is ecstatic. Life is good and it’s a great experience…….until You go for beer and find that all that is offered in the bar is the same watered down pilsner that is on tap at every venue and festival in the world! At Mikkeller we decided to do something about it. Wouldn’t the music sound even better if You could also enjoy a Beer Geek Breakfast? Or a Stella 5? And maybe some gourmet food as well? We think so, and so does our[...]
More than a year ago concrete plans were made to create a Japanese ramen and Danish craft beer bar in Copenhagen. After much diligence, planning and months of hard work in a kitchen, a location was finally set! Mikkel and Uki opened Ramen to Bíiru in December of 2015 on Griffenfeldsgade 28 in Nørrebro, Copenhagen. With a simple menu of three ramen’s and 8 beers we did not imagine that our guests and friends would be as stoked and as excited as they were for us in a city where ramen had[...]

Ever wonder how our bar managers stay updated in what is happening in the beer world? Well easy-peasy, they research! So a week ago Koelschip manager, Dennis, took himself and some other Mikkeller-buddies on a road trip to his homeland and the country of Lambic to see what's up. Here is his tales: "You can take the Belgian out of Belgium, but you’ll never take Belgium out of the Belgian. Guess that’s how they say it. The cry of the Motherland never goes unheard, so it was about time I got back[...]
This weekend, we attended the 3rd. edition of the What's Brewing festival in Stavanger, Norway, and as the previous years have proved, WBF is at the top of the list when it comes to beer festivals. Everything from the venue, the organization, the lineup of our fellow brewers, to the hard working volunteers, made us feel both inspired and extremely grateful for being a part of it. Thanks for making us feel welcome, and thanks to the crowd for sucking empty our selection of beers in no time. Till[...]
