If the world won’t bring good beer to the music festivals, we will build a music festival around good beer!

You’re at a music festival, Your favourite band is on stage, the crowd is ecstatic. Life is good and it’s a great experience…….until You go for beer and find that all that is offered in the bar is the same watered down pilsner that is on tap at every venue and festival in the world! At Mikkeller we decided to do something about it. Wouldn’t the music sound even better if You could also enjoy a Beer Geek Breakfast? Or a Stella 5? And maybe some gourmet food as well? We think so, and so does our[...]

Here is his tales: "You can take the Belgian out of Belgium, but you’ll never take Belgium out of the Belgian. Guess that’s how they say it. The cry of the Motherland never goes unheard, so it was about time I got back[...]

Thanks for making us feel welcome, and thanks to the crowd for sucking empty our selection of beers in no time. Till[...]

Bugs & Berries: A Mikkeller and Samuel Adams and Collaboration

The idea to brew Bugs & Berries was really a collaboration between us here in Copenhagen and the team at Samuel Adams in Boston Brewed exclusively for the 2016 Copenhagen Beer Celebration in Boston, MA, we teamed up to bring a one-of-a-kind beer to the festival for its inaugural year in the states. And what better way to celebrate a little bit of Copenhagen in the U.S. than to brew a beer that has ingredients from both countries in it. Bugs & Berries was born from the idea of blending 2 beers[...]

Mikkeller & The Earl of Essex

Yesterday Mikkeller brewed a beer along with the Earl of Essex at Danbury Street, London. We had planned to brew an American IPA with a very simple malt base, an American ale yeast and a crazy amount of American hops. 7% alcohol, and an IBU far above what is normally brewed in the London area. I feel pretty sure that this beer will have the trademark hoppiness of a Mikkeller beer. If you drop by Earl of Essex in a month's time, make sure to taste the to this date strongest beer brewed on the[...]

Mikkeller & Partizan Brewing

Yesterday I brewed a big strong Quad with Partizan Brewing. Andy did all the work, but before the beer was finished, I poured a bottle Monks Brew in the boiler. It is an old tradition here in Mikkeller, and although ther has been a standstill since Mikkel first time threw a bottle of Black in the boiler at Three Floyds for approximately four years ago, the tradition resumed yesterday right here in London. When the beer has fermented, it will sit in a brandy barrel for about six months before it[...]
