Is Anders Grand from Denmark. A true Mikkeller fan who served a lot of different Mikkeller brews at his 40th birthday. But not only that, the birthday cake was designed as Anders' favorite beer: American Dream, Wheat is the new Hops, Black Hole and Stateside IPA. The cake can be seen in this blog post. We know that Anders had a great party, and we know for sure, that the cake was beautiful. As we often receive pictures, stories - even adventurous tales, from our friends around the globe doing[...]
MAD BEER BITTER Pours a hazy golden with a potent white foamy head. This beer has a refine aroma with a sweet malty base and a nice acidic touch on top. You feel the shiso as a green hint among a fine hoppyness. When tasted the shiso really reveals its self. It is both perfumic with green notes and a touch of spices - it’s the taste of fresh shiso. After your palates gets used to the shiso the hoppy notes gets clearer with tropical flavors. We get hints of green citrus, mango and honey[...]

So you are all welcome to join us on our big 1year anniversary party Saturday the 15th of march 12:00 at Stefansgade 35. There will be some new beers from Mikkeller and To Øl, but we also have the honour of having the following breweries in the house: All In Brewing, Amager, Brekeriet, Flying Couch, Höganäs Bryggeri, Malmö Brygghus. You can rest assured that they will bring some new tasty beers, some of them[...]
Yesterday Mikkeller brewed a beer along with the Earl of Essex at Danbury Street, London. We had planned to brew an American IPA with a very simple malt base, an American ale yeast and a crazy amount of American hops. 7% alcohol, and an IBU far above what is normally brewed in the London area. I feel pretty sure that this beer will have the trademark hoppiness of a Mikkeller beer. If you drop by Earl of Essex in a month's time, make sure to taste the to this date strongest beer brewed on the[...]
Yesterday I brewed a big strong Quad with Partizan Brewing. Andy did all the work, but before the beer was finished, I poured a bottle Monks Brew in the boiler. It is an old tradition here in Mikkeller, and although ther has been a standstill since Mikkel first time threw a bottle of Black in the boiler at Three Floyds for approximately four years ago, the tradition resumed yesterday right here in London. When the beer has fermented, it will sit in a brandy barrel for about six months before it[...]

MAD-beer is a joined effort between Mikkel Borg Bjergsø of Mikkeller and Jakob Mielcke of Mielcke and Hurtigkarl. These to creative brains have spend a year in their taste lab to work on the best possible beer to pair with food. The result is interesting and excellent. The food - goes without saying -[...]

Beer freaks and dinner geeks we have some great news. From our travels through the darkness of Scotland we discover a true eastern gem based in the Granite City. Yatai have been pushing the boundaries of traditional Japanese cuisine with the addition of using locally sourced seasonal ingredients for many years and have gone from strength to strength. They have caused such an impact that only 8 months after opening they received the national award for Oriential cuisine in Scotland. With this in[...]
We often go to Berlin, but we find it a challenge to find good craft beer. We don't find that fair, so we have decided to bring our own beers and tenders to the city that we like so much. Not only are we bringing our own, we are bringing enough for everybody. Finding a location for all this goodness wasn't really difficult - we just asked our long time friends at Berlins coolest hotel "The Michelberger" if we could do it at their place? They said yes - so now we are packing the Mikkeller truck[...]

Welcome Win Bic. The celebration will happen in Sparta Hallen like last year, and like last year we will[...]
No freeze distilling needed. This beer has been barrelaged 10 times on different bourbon barrels. It took us two years to bring the imperial stout Black up from the original 18% ABV to the amazing 26,1%. How about the taste? There is a reason it is called the "Black Fist". Decant it as we suggest in the serving tips, and you will have a mindblowing experience. This beer is complex. We are releasing Black Fist tomorrow at our two Copenhagen bars.
Our great friends from Crooked Moon Tattoo have decided to do a pop up at Mikkeller & Friends on the 1. of November. Jacob and Jonas are outstanding at what they do and we are proud to have them. Keith was psyched about the project and immediately offered to do some cool designs. The plan is that the tattoos will be sold on our webshop and that Jacob and Jonas will do them onside. Keith will be there and we have arranged some pretty crazy beers to match the event. Check out the guys here[...]

With the last days talk (http://korturl.dk/6b3) about crual treatment of Kopi Luwak producing civets it is important for us to say this: We do not use Kopi Luwak from Indonesia in Beer Geek brunch Weasel. We use the Vietnamese variety cà phê Chồn. We have been aware since we started using cà phê Chồn in 2008 that not all civet coffee world wide is produced with the best care and respect of the cats. Therefor we searched for and found one supplier of cà phê Chồn that treats the animals with[...]
